Great news! The children returned to school and have fallen back into school routines brilliantly. We have been so impressed with how well they have settled and how much work they have obviously done at home. We've used this time to embed skills and knowledge learnt in the first half term as well as getting used to being back with one another.
Our topic this half term has been all about animals. We've enjoyed lots of stories about zoos, farms and new life. To support our learning about lifecycles we received some caterpillars which we are waiting to turn into butterflies. We've also planted seeds and watched them grow into shoots. We've now finished learning all of our phase three sounds and are now working on using them to blend and segment for reading and writing. In maths we have been working on composition of numbers and subitising numbers up to 10.
