Celebrating our Year 2 Art Work with CBeebies' Mister Maker!

During the Autumn Term, children in Year 2 studied the work of artists Seurat and Renoir. Linked to our Geography theme, children chose to paint a river scene using the skills and techniques taught in the style of Seurat or Renoir. Class Teachers selected 9 children's work from across the year to share with CBeebies' Mister Maker. Mister Maker has looked at all our Art work and was so impressed that he sent us a video!! Well done Year 2!

Visit to Care Home  - Autumn 2024

During the Autumn term some of our year 2 children walked to Anchor Care Home and sang Autumn songs to the residents.   This was very well received and the children, staff and residents really enjoyed getting to know each other afterwards.   They all joined in with  colouring and even had a little snack!

We love going to Woodland Explorers.

Look at all the exciting things we have been doing.

Year 2 enjoyed 2 days of workshops with the NHS Ambulance Service. Our children now have learnt some important life saving skills including CPR, putting someone in the recovery position, how to use an AED and how to respond in an emergency (including how to call 999).

Summer Fayre

We all had a fantastic time at the summer fair.

First we had a shared picnic lunch with our families.

Then we shared some dances and songs.

Then we looked around the fayre.

Thank you to SPIA for organising it and to all who attended it.
