Supporting Children and Families

ELSA - Emotional Learning Support Adult

The ELSA at Stoke Park Infant School is Mrs. Donna Bright.

The ELSA programme aims to promote emotional wellbeing in children and support the child to use a variety of strategies to help them solve their problems independently.

Emotional Literacy support involves identifying specific targets which the pupil works through, with the support of the ELSA in school.

The ELSA will work closely with the class teacher to ensure the child has continued support in the class.

The ELSA has taken a training course and is lead and managed by Hampshire and The Isle of Wight Educational Psychology Department.
